Littlehampton’s tranquility is disrupted when the town’s residents, including the reserved Edith, are targeted by a series of crude prank letters. Rose, an outspoken Irish immigrant, is quickly blamed for the mischief. However, Edith and a group of resolute women are not convinced by the initial accusation.
